Your Fall Roadmap for 10U–14U Athletes
At NSSC, we believe opportunity should not be reserved for “elite” players only. Other clubs turn kids away. We give them a place to rise. That is why our fall is built as a series of low-pressure steps that let your athlete grow at their own pace before ever stepping onto the tryout court.
Here is the simple path from summer to season:
- Youth Skills Clinics – August 3, 10 & 11
- 10U–14U Open Gyms – October 6, 13 & 19
- 10U–14U Tryouts – Saturday, October 24

Youth Skills Clinics (August 3, 10 & 11)
The season starts in the gym with our Youth Skills Clinics. These are small-group, position-specific sessions designed to build real reps and real confidence — whether your child is brand new to the net or already counting down to their next season.
Each clinic day offers two focused sessions:
- Passing & Setting – 9:00–10:00 AM
- Hitting & Blocking – 10:00–11:00 AM

10U–14U Open Gyms (October 6, 13 & 19)
As tryouts get closer, our 10U–14U Open Gyms are the perfect tune-up. They run from 6:00–8:00 PM and cost just $10 per session — an easy, low-cost way for your athlete to get touches, meet coaches, and shake off any nerves.
Open gyms are also a great fit for families still deciding whether club volleyball is right for them. There is no commitment; just come play. You can pre-register on our Open Gym page or pay at the door.
10U–14U Tryouts (Saturday, October 24)
Tryouts land on Saturday, October 24, with a $25 registration fee. And here is what we tell every nervous first-timer: tryouts at NSSC are not about cutting kids. They are about finding the right team and the right level for every athlete who wants to play.

One of the best parts of NSSC is that there is a level of play for every athlete and every family’s goals. When you register for tryouts, your 10U–14U athlete will choose from three levels:
- Nike – Our highest level of competition and travel, built for athletes chasing the next step in the game.
- Regional – High-level competitive volleyball with a strong development focus, without the full travel load.
- Local – A shorter, lighter-commitment season with the same great coaching — perfect for newer or busier families.
As the only Nike-sponsored club in Southeast Missouri, we bring serious resources and coaching to the table. But being Nike-sponsored has never meant being exclusive. Every athlete gets a place to grow.
New This Year: A Season Built Around School Ball
Here is the change families have been waiting for. Starting this season, our Nike and Regional teams pause for the junior high school season and resume in the spring. That means your athlete never has to choose between their school team and their club team.
Our Local teams run right up to the start of the junior high season and then wrap for the year — a clean, defined season for families who want great development without a long-term commitment.
