FROM REGISTRATION TO ROSTER
Here's exactly how tryout day goes — so you (and your player) walk in feeling confident, not nervous.
Register Online
Pre-register at nsscvolleyball.com to reserve your spot and skip the walk-up line.
Check In Early
Arrive one hour before your session. Bring your athlete dressed and ready to warm up.
Tryout & Evaluation
Drills, scrimmage play, and skill evaluations led by our coaching staff. Athletes wear a number — coaches score throughout.
Offers & Commitment
If selected, you'll be invited to Commitment Night for uniform sizing and to make your down payment.
THREE TIERS. EVERY ATHLETE HAS A PATH.
NSSC offers three team levels so every player gets matched to the right level of challenge, travel, and time commitment.
NIKE NATIONAL
Our highest-level competitive teams. National tournaments, top-tier travel, and elite coaching for athletes serious about college-pathway play.
BLACK REGIONAL
High-level competitive play with a regional tournament schedule. Strong development with manageable travel for committed athletes.
WHITE LOCAL
Local-focused competitive teams perfect for first-year club athletes or families who want growth without heavy travel weekends.
WHAT TO BRING TO TRYOUTS
- Athletic clothing your athlete can move freely in
- Court shoes (clean, non-marking soles)
- Knee pads
- Water bottle (and a snack for between sessions)
- Hair tied back — long hair up
- A parent or guardian for check-in & paperwork
- Pre-registration confirmation (digital or printed)
- A great attitude — coaches evaluate effort, too!
WE'VE GOT YOU.
Club tryouts can feel intense for first-time families. Here's why NSSC parents say their first tryout was easier than they expected.
Real Coaches, Real Care
Our coaches care about every athlete on the court — not just the top scorers. Effort, attitude, and growth matter here.
A Spot for Every Level
With three tiers per age division we make room for development athletes — not just elite ones.
The NSSC Family
You're not joining a roster — you're joining a community. Families make lifelong friends here, and teams cheer for each other.
Local-First = Lower Cost
We self-host tournaments. That means more time playing, less time (and money) traveling on weekends.
FIND YOUR AGE DIVISION
For the 2026–2027 USAV season, the age determination date is July 1, 2027. Find your athlete's birth month, match it to their birth year, and confirm their division.
