It started with one dad and his daughter.
Cape Girardeau, Missouri
In 2001, Carl Ritter Jr. wanted his daughter Kacie to have a real place to play. There wasn’t one nearby — so he built it. That first season became the North Stoddard County Volleyball Club, and the “NSSC” name was born.
By 2007, the club had outgrown its original footprint. Carl rebranded it as the North Stoddard Scott County Volleyball Club to reflect the families pouring in from across the region.
Today, NSSC is the largest volleyball club — and the only Nike-Sponsored club — in Southeast Missouri, with 300+ athletes, 30+ teams, and families driving in from as far as 140 miles away to be part of it.

We offer up to 4 teams per age group, ensuring kids who want to grow have the space to do so.
With 30+ teams with qualified coaches and more than 300 players, NSSC offers expansive opportunities for skill development and competition. Our large club size allows us to provide tailored coaching to more teams, ensuring that every athlete has the chance to play, improve, and excel.

Convenience and Cost-Effectiveness
By self-hosting several tournaments locally, you get high-level competition with less travel time and lower costs.
We've found most of our parents with athletes 10U-14U don't want the added expenses of uneccessary travel.
So at NSSC we give you options. The amount of travel varies by team level.
This allows us to focus on providing high-quality experiences and training without the added stress of extensive travel.
