Cape Girardeau, MO – June 24, 2025 — The NSSC 10 Black Girls volleyball team proudly brought home first place in the Flight One Bracket of the 10 Patriot Division at the prestigious 2025 USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship, held at the Kansas City Convention Center from June 21 to June 24, 2025.
Competing against some of the nation’s most talented youth teams, NSSC 10 Black displayed exceptional teamwork, skill, and determination throughout the tournament, earning top honors in their bracket. The girls showed incredible grit and sportsmanship, representing their club and community with pride.
The USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC) is a premier annual tournament for junior club volleyball teams across the United States. It’s the culmination of the junior club season for girls, with competitions for various age divisions, generally from 10U to 17U. The event attracts thousands of athletes, coaches, and college scouts, making it a key event for showcasing talent and fostering the growth of volleyball. Teams can qualify for the championship through regional tournaments or national qualifiers. For the 10s Nationals, there is only one division: Patriot.
“These young athletes trained hard all season and truly gave it their all on the national stage,” said Carl Ritter, NSSC Volleyball Club Director. “Bringing home this victory is a testament to their ability to adapt to change, focus, resilience, and love for the game. They are a very coachable group!”
What an incredible weekend at USAVolleyball Nationals with our 10U Black NSSC team! Our girls came into this experience not quite knowing what to expect—but they’re leaving with a whole new love for the game and a deeper understanding of what it takes to compete at this level.
We faced some tough competition that challenged us, inspired us, and showed us exactly where we want to go next. Through it all, our girls showed tremendous growth—gaining confidence, learning from each match, and playing their hearts out until the very end. Big thanks to our coaches for believing in our girls and pushing them to be better!
Beyond the volleyball, the weekend was filled with laughter, bonding, and memories made with our amazing team family. We’re so proud of our girls and all they accomplished—and we’re already looking forward to next year!
